with a first quick look at the weather. here's meteorologist lisa argen. >> katie, the cold front pushed on with a tenth of an inch and half inch in concord and the north bay. here's a little cell headed towards half moon bay but the bulk of the activity has moved out of the bay area and pink right there was the snow that we saw falling on the santa cruz mountains just in the last couple of hours. and down towards monterey, still some showers. the bulk of the day will be dry with increasing sunshine and cool northwesterly winds. temperatures just in the upper 40s today all over the bay. katie? >> lisa, thank you. >>> right now, there is some snow in the santa cruz mountains. abc 7 news reporter is live in boulder creek. what do you see out there? >> reporter: katie, we have been looking all over this morning for snow. and we finally found it. there's a light dusting of fresh snow here on empire grade road in the santa cruz mountains. perfect for would be christmas trees and that's where we are at the christmas tree farm at the top of the mountain. it started snowing about 25 minutes ago

going on with cold and rain, maybe snow. meteorologist lisa argen, good morning. >> good morning to you. most of the activity, well, all of it moved through while you were sleeping. wind and rain and live doppler 7hd this morning w he picking up cloud cover, anybody a few sprinkles but all the advisories for the higher elevation snow has expired. could see a few sprinkles. temperatures dropping in the north bay. right now we are experiencing the mildest temperatures we will see all day because it's the northwest winds picking up behind the front. we will see numbers not get out of the 40s today. so 30s and 40s right now with some fog in in the north b. otherwise below average, chilly, dry today. cool afternoon. we will look for the breezy winds and another freezing cold night tonight into sunday night. but is there any more precip on the way? i'll let you know coming up. katie. >> lisa, thank you. in the south bay the frigid temperatures have been more than just uncomfortable, they have turned deadly. in the south bay four people have died from hypothermia in the past few days. nick smi

that disastrous launch. lisa, we know the white house is giving itself a passing grade but they are also saying the work's not finished. you tell me what's left. >> i will tell you this. i just got off the phone with the conference call that health and human services, cms, holds regularly on the update. or on this website. they didn't say what problems are left but did say that it is not yet perfect and it sounds like one of the issues is they have not yet released numbers for where the errors are. they also seem to be dealing with an issue called the 834s. that's a really important number because what that means is when people signed up and thought they had enrolled, you know, got the official recognition, those enrollments weren't all going to the insurance companies. that's the 834 process. so while today, hhs is saying they have fixed that process and enrollees are getting all the way through, insurance companies are getting the notice, here's the thing. if you signed up before today, before this fix was put in place, hhs is saying you need to call your insurors and make sure you, in fact,
